ART

My work in acrylic draws inspiration from the Southern landscape, particularly the marshes, whose shifting light and seasonal changes mirror our own spiritual and emotional states. Though acrylic is my primary medium, I weave in the influences of pen and ink, watercolor, and other techniques to create a layered visual language.

In this series, I explore the Southern marsh through its life cycles — from morning to dusk, from summer greens to autumn golds, from stands of cypress to reeds bending in the wind. Each painting seeks to capture not only the outward beauty of place but also the quiet inward resonance it awakens in us.

I aim for my work to hold the viewer in a space of calm reflection. Like a traditional landscape in the spirit of Thomas Cole, my paintings invite stillness and contemplation. Yet, through a post-impressionist approach to color and form, they also carry the pulse of emotion — the subtle ways the landscape speaks to our inner lives.
